Transformer Oil
DescriptionTransformer Oil is a highly refined naphthenic product for use solely in oil filled transformers and other electrical equipment. The base stock and refining process has been specifically chosen to produce a long life product free of oxidation and sludging tendencies.
ApplicationsTransformer Oil is recommended for use as a dielectric and coolant in all oil filled transformers, switchgear, welders and other electrical equipment. It is recommended that once a container of Transformer Oil has been opened, it should be used as quickly as possible, as the dielectric strength is soon weakened by exposure to the atmosphere.
Note: This product should not be used for any other purpose.
Performance LevelsMeets the performance requirements of IEC 60296:2003 and BS EN 60296:2004 for uninhibited transformer oil. However, this level of performance can only be absolutely guaranteed at the time of manufacture, when the oil is packed in 200 litre nominal capacity sealed drums, and for two weeks from the delivery date (mainland deliveries only).
