Kicking Off For Charity: Morris Lubricants Take On Greenhous In Annual Charity Football Match
Morris Lubricants recently took on Greenhous in a friendly charity football game, in support of Lingen Davies Cancer Support.
The two businesses are both local to Shrewsbury and have held their annual charity football match for various worthy causes over the years.
Held at the Salop Unison Club in Shrewsbury, the event brought together friends and family from both companies. A great crowd of over 100 supporters thoroughly enjoyed the entertainment and warm weather, which contributed to a fantastic afternoon for all who attended.
Morris Lubricants took the lead early on through a goal by Ian O’Keefe (Production Operative); however, Greenhous scored twice just before halftime, helping to turn the momentum in their favour. Adrian Eccles (Logistics Supervisor) rolled back the years to put in some fantastic challenges throughout the game, but despite his efforts, Greenhous continued their dominance into the second half, resulting in a 4-1 victory.
Morris Lubricants and Greenhous have agreed to make a joint £100 contribution per goal, raising a total of £500 for Lingen Davies Cancer Support.
Lingen Davies has been supporting cancer services in Shropshire for 46 years. They are an amazing charity and Morris Lubricants are proud to support the valuable work they do
