The Morris Lubricants’ team will be taking part in a wing walk on the 25th of September to raise money for Lingen Davies Cancer Trust, our charity of the year. The event will be held by AeroSuperBatics at Sleap Airfield in Shropshire.
Taking part in this daredevil feat is Hannah Stocking-Evans, Buyer - for Coolants, Additives and Indirect Procurement, and Elliot Lloyd, Apprentice Internal Sales Manager. They will each spend 8-10 minutes harnessed onto the wing of a Boeing Stearman aircraft, reaching maximum speeds of 140mph at around 1000 feet! There will be plenty of dips, dives, steep turns, and flypasts in front of onlookers.
Hannah and Elliot are in safe hands. AeroSuperBatics have operated around the world since 1984 and now hold numerous Guinness World Records, having also featured in multiple TV shows wing walking with renowned celebrities like Richard Hammond and Bear Grylls.
Hannah has experience in similar fundraising activities, having done a skydive a few years ago. Hannah says she feels excited to be able to tick another item off her bucket list and seized the opportunity when she received the offer to take part. Since joining Morris Lubricants in 2023, Hannah has thrown herself into plenty of charity fundraising opportunities, including the Shrewsbury Mud Run in March 2026, and a 104-mile running challenge which took 38 hours and involved a summit of Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon).
Elliot joined Morris Lubricants in 2025, and this will be his first major charity fundraising activity whilst at the company. Although he is excited about the experience of doing the wing walk, he is also naturally a little nervous. This will be Elliot’s first time doing a wing walk, but he decided to put himself forward when realising that the opportunity was simply too good to pass up.
When asked how her friends and family reacted to being told about the wing walk, Hannah laughed, “I think they’re all too used to my wild challenges by now.” Elliot’s family had a very different reaction, as he explains “I’ve never been particularly comfortable with heights, so they were quite surprised when I told them.”
Both Hannah and Elliot are excited by the opportunity to raise money for Lingen Davies, an incredibly important charity to the local community. The charity has provided cancer care to those who are undergoing and recovering from treatment across Shropshire for 46 years, and Morris Lubricants is always proud to support their vital work.
