Colleagues from world-famous oil and lubricant manufacturer and supplier Morris Lubricants are to take part in a football match against another Shrewsbury-based company during July.
The Castle Foregate oil supplier will be playing against the Greenhous team, which is also based in Shrewsbury and are a supplier of vehicles, as well as providing servicing for vehicles and MOTs.
The team from Morris Lubricants will be swapping their work boots and high vis vests for their football boots and shin pads as they take on their Greenhous counterparts on Sunday 17th July at the Salop Unison Club in Shirehall, in a game that was similar to one that they played in 2019.
The football fixture, which is also doubling up as a Fun Day, will be one of the focal points of the fundraising for the year, as Morris Lubricants are raising money for local children’s hospice, Hope House and Tŷ Gobaith.
Hope House and Tŷ Gobaith Children’s Hospices provide specialist nursing care and support to more than 750 children from birth up to 25 years, and their families, who live in Shropshire, Cheshire, North and Mid Wales.
At the football game and Fun Day, there will also be a bouncy castle, barbecue, bar, raffle and entertainment throughout the course of the day. The game kicks off at 2.00pm and all are welcome to head along to enjoy the day.
