Paterson Enterprises have been delighted to sponsor Knockin and Kinnerley Cricket Club with their pitch covers during the 2021 season.
Paterson Enterprises, the parent company for Shrewsbury-based Morris Lubricants and Morris Leisure, and Gateshead-based GB Lubricants, have had a long-standing relationship with the Shropshire County Cricket League side.
The first XI played in and finished fourth in the Shropshire County Cricket League – Division Two during 2021, with their second XI competing in Division Five. The club also boasts a Sunday team, a midweek team, a social team and several junior sides.
Andrew Goddard, Executive Chairman at Paterson Enterprises, commented: “It’s fantastic to work with local projects and we have had a long-association with Knockin and Kinnerley CC, so to help them with their covers to keep their pitch in perfect condition has been our pleasure”.
Ant James, Chairman at Knockin and Kinnerley Cricket Club added: “We can’t thank Paterson Enterprises enough for their generosity in sponsoring the club the covers. Despite being a summer sport, the covers remain an integral part of the success of playing cricket during the summer months. Without a dry pitch, the many teams at the club can’t play!”
