
Rowing For a Cause: Morris Lubricants Takes On Dragon Boat Challenge
Morris Lubricants, the oil and lubricants company, that supplies to many sectors including, Automotive, Commercial Vehicle, Agricultural and Off-Highway, will be taking to the water in the annual Dragon Boat Race to raise funds in order to support the Severn Hospice charity.
Twelve brave employees from across different departments at Morris Lubricants, will be battling it out against other local businesses on the 20th of July.
Clayton Matcham, Area Sales Account Manager (in the picture above, Clayton is seen on the right next to our Executive Chairman, Andrew Goddard), wanted to support the event and won the backing of his colleagues. He said: “Severn Hospice is a great charity to be raising money for, they do such amazing work for the community.
“The team here at Morris Lubricants are so excited to take part in the race, we are also taking part in the fancy dress competition. This has created a buzz of excitement around the company in anticipation of winning the contest”
This year is the 35th anniversary of the Dragon Boat race which takes place on the River Severn on the stretch between the Shrewsbury School Boat Club and the Pengwern Boat Club. On the day more than 50 teams will be battling it out for the title of Dragon Boat Champions 2024!
The team have been looking forward to rowing in perfect synchronisation to the beat of the drum and hoping that the weather is kind on the day!
