Dave Jenkins Crowned 2026 British Truck Racing Champion.
An incredible season has ended in spectacular fashion, with Morris Lubricants’ Brand Ambassador Dave Jenkins being crowned the 2026 Division One Champion in the British Truck Racing Championship.
Taking centre stage in front of a sold-out crowd at Brands Hatch this past weekend, Dave made his dreams a reality as he wrapped up one of the biggest prizes in UK motorsport for a second time.
Dave arrived at the final round of the season holding a 30-point lead in the standings and he wasted no time in extending that advantage with a sublime performance on Saturday.
Dave dominated the first race of the day, managing to take the bonus point for the fastest lap. He then repeated the feat in race two to take a commanding lead into the final day of the 2026 season.
With a potential victory around the corner, Dave battled his emotions and drove an amazing opening race on Sunday morning. Despite season-long rival Stuart Oliver winning the race, a fifth-place finish for Dave was enough to secure the championship win.
Dave is a veteran of the competition, and last won the British Truck Racing Championship back in 2011. The newly crowned champion soaked up the moment he had been dreaming of experiencing again for 15 years and celebrated with his team in the pit lane after the race.
And with the pressure off, the experienced Morris Lubricants’ Brand Ambassador delivered a fantastic spectacle during the final two races of the day in front of the tens of thousands of fans who had come to watch Dave’s victory.
This success would not have been possible without the hard work of Dave’s team, their families, partners and, of course, all of the incredible fans.
