There were three Morris Lubricants Racing Ambassadors in action of late, with three champions all in action. Ten-times British Champion Luke Harris headed to Winchester for the Grasstrack Banter Trophy Meeting, Scottish Ladies Rally Champion Ashleigh Morris was at the RSAC Scottish Rally and Wor Ladies Enduro Champion Chloe Anna Jones was at Hawkstone Park for the Fast Eddy Event.
Chloe Anna Jones
Chloe Anna Jones was at Hawkstone Park in Shropshire for the Fast Eddy Event, where she competed in a two-hour Steady Eddy event in the Novice Class, as there was no ladies section. Starting on the famous MX start line in sweltering heat, Chloe settled in mid pack, before getting swiped out and unfortunately being pushed to the very back of the standings. Seeing this as an opportunity, Chloe moved up the field, and despite another crash on the downslope of the Hawkstone Hill, but she got up and saw out the race.
Chloe's next event is at Greenhall Farm on 20th and 21st August.
Luke Harris
At the Grasstrack Banter Trophy Meeting in Winchester, Luke Harris was looking to continue some strong form, as he recently became a ten-times British Champion. At the small, tough and technical track, Luke kicked off the meeting excellently as he took the win. Luke finished in second place in both the second and third races. To win the meeting, Luke needed to win the final race, but, however, he was plagued by gearbox problems and took sixth place. Luke finished in a solid second place overall.
Luke's next event is at the ACU British Masters Championship in Frittenden on 30th and 31st July.
Ashleigh Morris
Ashleigh Morris was at the RSAC Scottish Rally in Dumfries, competing on gravel. There were some tough stages, which Ashleigh took a bit of time to build up her confidence and get used to. Despite a puncture occurring on SS5 and losing some time, Ashleigh did not let this hamper a positive weekend. She finished in ninth position in her class despite the puncture setting her back.
Ashleigh's next event will be at the Grampian Forest Rally on 13th and 14th August.
